Hackathons & awards

1st place in the international hackathon competition in Germany

SICK SensorsOct 2024

In October 2024, the international SICK Sensors hackathon took place in Germany, drawing students and professionals from around the globe. Each team had 48 hours to develop an innovative idea using sensors and cameras provided by SICK and its partner companies.

My team and I created and presented Felix Farm, a solution that helps farmers worldwide reduce water consumption for agriculture. This tool not only saves water and soil but also plays a crucial role in protecting the environment.

Our product leverages SICK's soil sensors to gather data on soil conditions, integrates weather forecasts from the internet, and uses crop-specific information. Machine learning algorithms analyze this data to determine whether the crops need additional water, optimizing irrigation decisions.
